On 14 November 1791 she denounced Joseph Matías Bolcán in the ecclesiastical courts for seducing her with a promise of marriage. He claimed that he had never made such a promise, and that she was not a virgin. The case also points out that Bolcán had not expected her to go to court because she was a woman. He was ordered to marry her within 30 days or to pay her 200 pesos, but by the time the punishment was given, he had fled the area. (Díaz, 81-82, 92-93, 95-96)
