Biography:
She hosted aristocratic salons in Lima; and was the first to invite San Martín to a reception after his triumphant entrance to Lima in 1821, thus breaking the coldness of the nobility towards him and his troops. Other women then imitated her. She was a staunch supporter of San Martín and of Bolívar. (García y García, 290)

She was awarded the Orden del Sol by San Martín in 1822. (Gaceta de Lima, 23-1-1822, p.3)
