Research Staff Travel Award announced

The winners of the latest rounds of Research Staff Travel Award have been announced. These prestigious prizes support research staff to attend a national or international conference to present their research, or make a short visit to another institute to use or consult essential resources.

Over the past ten years the Graduate School has awarded over half a million pounds in prizes, enabling researchers to travel to over 85 countries.

Sept 2017 winners*

  • Dr Lara Shipley (School of Medicine) to deliver a presentation at the 2nd Congress of Joint European Neonatal Societies in Venezia, Italy
  • Dr Jennie Hancox (School of Medicine) to deliver a presentation at The British Psychological Society Division of Sport and Exercise Psychology conference in Glasgow, UK
  • Dr Natasha McIntyre (School of Medicine) to present a poster at The American Society of Nephrology ASN Annual Conference in New Orleans, USA

Dec 2017 winners

  • Dr Maria Martin-Gandul (School of Chemistry) to deliver a presentation at the "Nexus of Food, Energy & water". ACS spring 2018 National Meeting & Exposition in New Orleans, USA
  • Dr Matthew Brook (School of Medicine) to present a poster at the Exercise and Sports Sciences Australia: Research to Practice 2018 in Brisbane, Australia

* Some winners have chosen not to be named.

The award is open to all faculties. Next round is 7 Mar '18 deadline for travel from 25 Apr to 27 July 2018
