About the workshop

19-22 November 2019

Lund University, Sweden

The 2019 workshop theme ‘Water in Society’, aims to deepen participants’ understanding of how research impacts on water and sustainability through cross-disciplinary knowledge exchange, skills-sharing and networking. In order to achieve this, the three-day programme will include small group workshops, poster sessions by ECRs, talks by established researchers, and sessions with international and interdisciplinary perspectives on ‘Water in Society’. The workshop will be a unique opportunity for ECRs from across all disciplines to share knowledge, experiences and current projects from around the world.

Research areas may include (but are not limited to):

  • human rights and the ethics of water;
  • hydro-solidarity and hydro-politics and peacebuilding;
  • sustainable urban management and development;
  • water-energy-food nexus and circular economy; and
  • water, environment and law.

Eligibility: Delegates should have gained their doctorate within the last eight years and be employed by a U21 university in a research-related capacity.

More information on this workshop can be found on the Universitas21 website
