As part of our celebration of Black History Month in October, the School of Health Sciences, University of Nottingham will be hosting the Chief Nursing Officer's Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Advisory Group, 5th Annual Conference, "Cultures of Compassion".
Keynote speakers: Jane Cummings, Chief Nursing Office, NHS England and Paula Vasco-Knight, Lead for Equalities, NHS England.
Venue: East Midlands Conference Centre, University of Nottingham
Date: 11 October 2013.
Cost: There is no charge for attendance.
The conference will be of interest to nurses, midwives, health visitors, allied health professionals, service users and anyone interested in any aspect of BME health. You will note from the posters that there is also a call for abstracts for oral and or poster presentations on any aspect of BME health.

On the same evening, there will be a Gala Benefit Dinner with proceeds to the Mary Seacole Statue appeal.
Tickets for the dinner are £55 (£35 students). We would really like to make a significant donation to the statue appeal.
