International Activities

The School of Health Sciences has a global reputation for excellence in teaching, research and knowledge transfer. We are proud to host a truly international community of staff and students.

The school sees itself as part of a global multi-disciplinary community of professionals working to improve healthcare for all. To this end, we are committed to fostering the broader social good at the local and national level in the countries we operate in, as well as globally.

International places for nursing and midwifery

For 2017 entry we will be offering  up to a maximum of five places for international students to study BSc Nursing (Adult, Child, Mental Health) and maximum of two places for international students to study BSc Midwifery.

Our school's approach to internationalisation is guided by five strategic aims:

  1. To be known for our commitment to tackling healthcare inequalities and our contribution to the development of healthcare professions across the world.
  2. To provide a transformative educational experience for all of our students that enables them to develop the attributes of the 'Nottingham Graduate'. With respect to healthcare, this includes equipping our students with the knowledge and skills to understand and work effectively in a globalised healthcare arena and to be future leaders in tackling the world’s most pressing healthcare issues.
  3. To be a destination of choice for undergraduate and postgraduate students who are seeking an international, globally relevant and culturally inclusive educational experience.
  4. To attract, and work in collaboration with, the most talented research students and research partners from across the world.
  5. To provide our staff with opportunities for scholarly development through international mobility and international networking.
