Biography

Ahmed Sharaf is a Phd Researcher at the University of Nottingham. He is a Newton fund scholar and works as assistant lecturer of community nursing at the University of Alexandria in Egypt. Ahmed is a registered nurse who specializes in community nursing. Ahmed also hold Msc in Community nursing from Alexandria university in Egypt and his master research was about the needs and problems of children with disabilities enrolled in inclusive governmental schools in Alexandria city a Survey based study.

Currently in his PhD study, Ahmed is exploring the family carers experiences of formal support services received while caring for people with advanced cancer at home during the last year of life in UK in a grounded theory perspective.

Ahmed also facilitated several clinical skills sessions for nursing students at school of health sciences in the university of Nottingham.He also helped in facilitation of End of life communication workshop for master students.

Ahmed has an experience of developing content of digital learning resources in the area of methods in health care research through participation in a collaborative project funded by Newton Research Fund "Threshold project" between University of Nottingham, UK and University of KoC,Turkey.
