Course leader for BSc Hons Physiotherapy in Division of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences. Lecturer in anatomy and musculoskeletal assessment and treatment skills both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG). External Examiner for other Physiotherapy programmes.
Curriculum development and quality assurance, timetabling of undergraduate studies across the three years of the programme, co-ordination of staff teams to deliver modules, future scoping and planning of course delivery. Clinical expertise in managing patients with musculoskeletal pain syndromes. Research expertise in educational initiatives and chronic pain.
Anatomy, Clinical Assessment and Treatment Skills, Peer Coaching, E-learning (RLO development).
My past research interests have been in the use of mirror therapy for rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions, prevalence of chronic pain and disability in patients who have experienced a fractured wrist and the longevity of the effects of taping for rehabilitation. I currently supervise third year undergraduate projects focusing on the H reflex as a measure of spinal activity.
