Senior Research Fellow, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences
Jane qualified and practiced as a nurse, midwife and health visitor. Since completing her undergraduate degree in 1996 she has worked as a health researcher. Research areas include antenatal education and preparation for labour, maternal mental health, type 2 diabetes and blood pressure control in primary care, and injury prevention - in particular child injury prevention.

Within the NHS she developed and led a consumer involvement in primary care research group. Lay research advisors from this group were actively involved across many primary care research studies.

She has undertaken a developmental evaluation of maternal mental health awareness training and worked as part of a working group to inform practice development in the detection and management of emotional and mental wellbeing problems in parents in Nottingham City.
