Information for Practice Supervisors, Practice Assessors and Academic Assessors

As reported via PLT Teams, mentor updates and in our last newsletter we’ve been working on the next nursing curriculum, titled ‘The Future Nurse Curriculum’ which we plan to start delivering from September 2019.  The NMC published the new nursing standards and associated frameworks in May 2018 and since then we’ve been busy developing new programmes for our three year BSc and Graduate Entry Nursing programmes.

This does mean that a lot work is currently in development in relation to delivering the new standards for student supervision and assessment. In response to the feedback from mentors, we are working with practice partners and HEIs in the Midlands, Yorkshire and East regions to ensure that we have a consistent approach to supporting students

Online workbooks for the Practice Supervisor/Assessor Transition and the Practice Supervisor and Practice Assessor role qualification are now available.

Please contact Sue Usherwood for further details or queries.
