Congratulations! You have been shortlisted to attend an interview for either a Nursing or Midwifery course (as per your UCAS application) at the University of Nottingham.
It is important that you read all information on this page carefully. A comprehensive list of FAQs has also been provided below.
Once you have booked your interview you cannot change the time and/or date.
Your interview will consist of Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI) lasting approximately 40 minutes. Although your interview is approximately 40 minutes, the duration of your stay with us will be 6 hours.
Results of the interviews will be made available throughout the admissions cycle once we are in a position to make decisions.
What should I wear to my interview?
Applicants should dress in smart attire. This does not necessarily need to be a shirt and tie, and female candidates are not required to wear a dress or skirt.
What do I need to bring with me?
Prior to your interview please upload onto the MyNottingham portal:
- Valid passport
- Birth certificate
- Driving license if you have one (can be your provisional license)
- Visa (international students only) if you have one
- Academic certificates
Please save with the format UCAS ID Number_document title e.g. 1000160344_birthcertificate
Please bring all of the above documentation to your interview plus one copy of each.
You should upload supporting documents to MyNottingham prior to interview. These can be:
- Copies of academic achievements, e.g. most recent transcripts, GCSE certificates (if taken) or equivalent: (SPM, IGCSEs, final middle years IB transcript) a copy of your year 10/11 transcripts if other qualifications were completed.
Supporting documents will not be accepted by staff at interview.
I am still studying and do not have all of my certificates yet / I have lost my certificates?
It is important that we see your original academic certificates, so please bring what you have available. If you have not them got them please email the Front of House team at firstname.lastname@example.org for advice.
What will happen if I am late for my interview?
If you are late for your interview slot, we will endeavour to see you on the same day (space permitting), but on occasion we may have to offer you another date.
How long will I be expected to stay on the day of my interview?
Your ticket will give you the time you must arrive. You should allow 5-6 hours on the day of your interview, please be mindful that this is only a guided time if you are booking travel.
What is an MMI?
An MMI (Multiple Mini Interview) is the format we are using for our interviews. There will be multiple stations during your interview - you will rotate around the stations each time you are instructed, when the bell rings.
What questions will I be asked? Will they be science based?
The questions may be based on scenarios and competencies. They are not science based. You will be briefed prior to your interview.
Are there any Numeracy or Literacy assessments?
No, there are no Numeracy or Literacy assessments.
Can I look around the campus?
Orchard Hotel is based in the grounds of the University Park campus. You may go on a self-guided tour of the campus but time restrictions mean that we do not organise tours on interview days.
Please note you will not be able to see inside accommodation and will be limited to what buildings you can access. If you are made an offer, you will be offered the opportunity to visit again on an offer holder day.
When will I receive the result of my interview?
Results of the interviews will be made available throughout the admissions cycle, once we are in a position to make decisions.
