Fees and Finance

Course fees

The standard university course fees are payable for both courses. For further information on course fees, please see the University Fees website.

The University also offers a range of bursaries and scholarships, including sports bursaries to assist in financing your course and/or your sport.

Membership costs

The course is accredited by the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT). Students are eligible to become members if desired, however, the fee has to be met by the student. On successful completion of the course graduates will be eligible to apply for full membership of BASRaT.

Additional course costs

Please be aware that certain items will lead to additional costs:

Uniform: Physiotherapy students require clinical uniform for both clinical exams and placements. The cost of two clinical uniforms can be claimed back when registered on the course. Practical classes require physiotherapy and sport rehabilitation students to be dressed appropriately. We have a supplier who provides a range of clothing for these purposes which can be ordered prior to starting the course, and which will arrive during Freshers’ Week.

Skeleton: We loan a half skeleton to each first-year student for a hire fee of £30.

Books: We do not have a compulsory book list and the core texts can be found in both the City Hospital and University libraries; however, students often choose to purchase the books they find most useful.

Photocopying/inter-library loans/printing: You will incur some costs associated with these items, though the division aims to keep these to a minimum.
