Alongside 60 universities across the country, the University will experience strike action by members of the University & College Union (UCU) from Monday 25 November to Wednesday 4 December 2019.
A student information webpage and FAQs have been published to support students. Please refer students to this information as appropriate.
Schools have been asked to give students advance notice where possible if sessions are likely to experience disruption during the strike period.
Schools have also been asked to explore options to reschedule sessions, provide resources through Moodle, extend deadlines where helpful and ensure that assessments reflect the learning that has taken place.
Libraries, computer rooms, and services will be available throughout to enable students to continue studying and independent learning.
The University’s priorities are twofold: to continue to provide an outstanding education for our students, and to encourage UUK, UCEA and UCU to continue to seek resolution to what is a national dispute.
