On 22 February 2019, Professor Olympia Bekou, Head of our ICJ Unit, took part in a conference organised by the Centre for International Law Research and Policy in New Delhi, India. The theme of the conference was “Quality Control in Criminal Investigation”. The conference launched the third phase of a broader project called “Quality Control Project” which started in 2012 and looks into quality control in criminal justice systems, with a focus on core international crimes and fact-rich criminal cases, such as serious fraud and organised crimes.

As part of the panel on Systemic Challenges in Case-Preparatory Work-Processes, Professor Bekou gave a presentation on the Loss of Overview and In-Depth Analysis of Evidence During the Preparation of Fact-Rich Cases, which was recorded and is available to view online.
