M3C funded PhD student, Faculty of Arts
The provisional title of my thesis is 'Classical Afterlives: Language, Gender and Genre in Renaissance Dialogue.' This highly interdisciplinary project examines on the startling rebirth of the classical dialogue form in the Renaissance (roughly from the fourteenth to seventeenth centuries), focusing on Neo-Latin and Italian dialogues written in sixteenth-century Italy. I am supervised by Prof Helen Lovatt, Dr Ita Mac Carthy (University of Birmingham) and Prof Sarah Knight (University of Leicester).
In 2018-9, I am teaching on the Advanced Latin/Latin Texts 1 module (autumn semester) and Latin Texts 4 (spring semester).
I am currently the Student Advisory Forum (SAF) rep for students funded by the Midlands 3 Cities Doctoral Training Partnership at the University of Nottingham.
