Teaching Associate in Internationalhistory, Faculty of Arts

I am a historian of United States foreign relations and I specialise in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. My research interests revolve around United States imperialism, Pan-Americanism, and the American experience of the First World War. I have published a history of the Monroe Doctrine during the early twentieth century as well as research on the relationship between Pan-Americanism and early United States aviation.

I studied for my BA and MA at the University of Leicester and was awarded my PhD by the University of Nottingham in 2018.

I have previously taught history at the University of Lincoln and the University of Roehampton.

In the 2022/23 academic year, I am teaching on the following modules:

  • HIST2025 - Race, Rights and Propaganda: Race and Identity in the Cold War Era, 1945-1990
  • HIST1002 - Learning History
  • HIST1014 - The Contemporary World since 1945
