Helen Papaioannou is a composer and baritone/alto saxophonist based in Sheffield. She composes music for live performance, improvises and has a fascination with games and strategies for group interaction. She is currently developing a solo project for baritone saxophone and electronics. Helen's music has been performed by Workers Union Ensemble, Ensemble neoN, Nieuw Ensemble, Galvanize Ensemble, Cobalt Duo, Michael Speers/Renzo Spiteri, LSO and Northern Sinfonia. Helen performs in various collaborations, and has played with KURO, Valentina Magaletti, Damo Suzuki, Eugene Chadbourne and Hannabiell Sanders.
