John Milbank speaking at HowTheLightGetsIn

John Milbank will be speaking at HowTheLightGetsIn2015, the world’s largest philosophy and music festival, in May.

Bringing together world-leading philosophers, musicians, scientists and politicians - including Terry Eagleton, Natalie Bennett, Reverend Richard Coles, Fiona Shaw, Mike Skinner, Polly Toynbee, Lianne La Havas, Tariq Ali, Gianni Vattimo, Martin Creed, and John Searle - this year’s theme is ‘Fantasy and Reality.’ Topics range from the dangers of morality to the limits of knowledge in an attempt to challenge the foundations of our reality and discover the new "fantasies" shaping our world.

John Milbank will be joining Stephen Law and Madawi al-Rasheed in ‘Belief and the Gods’, debating whether belief in the Divine points to something essential about the world and discussing the nature of science and magic.
