What is the copyright status of these images?

The library images have either been commissioned by the University or purchased with unrestricted copyright or are available with the agreement of the image owner, so you do not need to worry about using any of these images - as long as they are used solely for University use (including promoting the University).  These images must not be used to promote third parties under any circumstances.  Infringement of copyright is a serious issue and may result in legal action.  Where indicated in the image library, the copyright owner/photographer must be credited with the image in any publication or website where the image appears.  In the case of pictures of people, these are either models or the individuals have consented to unrestricted use by the University.
