Philip Moriarty (Physics) and Brigitte Nerlich (ISS) were recently interviewed by Jessica Thomas, the Editor of Physics, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the interdisciplinary journal Leonardo Magazine (MIT), published by the International Society for the Arts, Sciences and Technology.
This interview came about because Phil was one of the rare physicists to have published an article in this journal. The article was part of a special issue on scientific visualisation edited by Brigitte, Chris Toumey and Chris Robinson. This collection of articles itself was based on a conference on scientific visualisation that had been funded by the European Science Foundation.
The article, which includes some snippets from the interview, appeared in December 2018, in the journal Art and Culture: A Journal for the Polymath (don't laugh!), published by the American Physics Society.
For those interested in art and science, Brigitte Nerlich has collected some resources on science, STS and images on this really old website – some things might still be useful.
