£31406 to £40927 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The Department of Cultural, Media and Visual Studies is one of three departments based within the School of Cultures, Languages and Area Studies. We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Associate in Film and Media and the successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in digital journalism and/or social media and society and/or news media and/or research methods.

The role holder will undertake teaching and be involved in the development of new teaching and assessment practices. They will have specific responsibility for identifying the learning needs of students and ensuring that the content, methods of delivery and learning materials meet the defined learning objectives of the BA International Media and Communication course.

Candidates must hold a PhD in Media Studies or an associated discipline and have previous experience of teaching small groups at Higher Education level.
