This post is an exciting opportunity to join the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit (NCTU). The unit designs and conducts high quality national and international multicentre trials, and has a growing programme of methodological research to improve how we do clinical trials.
The unit is seeking to recruit a Research Associate/Fellow to work within our multidisciplinary team. The role holder will have responsibility for undertaking high quality research, specifically in delivering a study to develop extensions to CONSORT and SPIRIT statements for the reporting of randomised factorial trials. The person appointed will be expected to plan and conduct work using mixed methods including literature review, online Delphi survey, consensus meeting, and will be responsible for report writing and dissemination.
Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent in a related subject area or the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience or near to completion of a PhD. Candidates should also have experience of project management and of applying relevant quantitative research methods. Previous experience of clinical trials or trials methodology research is desirable.
This is a full-time post (36.25 hours per week), preferably, however applications are invited from candidates wanting to work part-time (minimum 21.75 hours per week). Please indicate on your application if you wish to be considered for this role on a part-time basis.
The role will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of one year, with a start date of 1st September 2021.
