£18212 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our team within the busy kitchens of the Halls of Residence on University Park. You will have a passion for providing high quality food in a high-volume environment and have proven experience of working with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes within a large kitchen.  You will also possess excellent operational standards, will relish the opportunity to assist in menu development and will be keen to learn and grow in your role. Other duties for the role include completing Food Safety documentation, cleaning equipment within the kitchen and servery areas and working with other Chefs to provide ideas for product improvement.

Candidates should either be qualified to NVQ 2 in food preparation or equivalent or have some experience of working in a similar role. You should also be able to demonstrate good cooking skills and be customer focused.

The successful candidates will work full time, 36.25 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 to be arranged, including regular weekends covering a variety of shifts including breakfast, lunch and dinner and will have the opportunity to develop skills on special events such as weddings and Formal dinners. This role attracts a 20% allowance for hours worked at the weekend. Job share arrangements would be considered.
