- £26495 to £38833 per annum, depending on skills and experience (minimum £29799 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the School of Computer Science, the University of Nottingham.
The key responsibility of this post holder is to develop machine learning/ deep learning methods for unsupervised or semi-supervised data mining and pattern extraction for big clinical datasets. A generic unsupervised data abstraction/representation platform is expected to be developed which can then be applied for disease inference and data retrieval tasks in a supervised manner. The post holder has a unique opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team funded by the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre, MRC and Pathology node.
We are seeking a talented, energetic and highly motivated individual with a PhD in the areas of computer science, artificial intelligent, machine learning or a related discipline. Applicants who have experiences in data mining, big data analytics and deep learning are encouraged to apply. He/she is expected to have very strong programming skills.
This post will be a Fixed Term Contract for a period of two years.
