£26495 to £38833 per annum, depending on skills and experience (minimum £29799 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate/Fellow to join the School of Computer Science, the University of Nottingham. 

The key responsibility of this post holder is to develop machine learning/ deep learning methods for image segmentation and biomarker quantification for disease inference. Un-supervised and supervised machine learning methods are expected to be investigated and integrated, which can be applied to different image modalities and medical applications (e.g. histopathology images for colorectal cancer and multi-parametric MRI for chronic kidney disease). The post holder has a unique opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team that funded by NIHR Biomedical Research Centre, MRC and Pathology Node.

We are seeking a talented, energetic and highly motivated individual with a PhD (or nearing completion) in the areas of medical image analysis, computer vision, machine learning/deep learning or a related discipline. Applicant who has experience in deep learning networks (e.g. CNN, RNN, GANs, etc) is encouraged to apply. He/she is expected to have very strong programming skills in Python/Matlab/C++. 

This post will be Fixed Term Contract for a period of two years.
