Law alumnus Andrew Griffith, Group COO and CFO at Sky, to speak at Business Leaders event

Andrew Griffith, Group Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Sky, will return to Nottingham to give a talk on business and management.

Part of Nottingham University Business School's Business Leaders Series, The Sky's the limit – a story of growth, risk and governance will take place on Monday 3 April.

Andrew was appointed Group Chief Operating Officer at Sky in early 2016. In addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer he is responsible for the Group's overall future growth plans as well as the Group's advertising businesses across Europe including Sky AdSmart.

Andrew joined Sky in 1999 from Rothschild, the investment banking organisation, where he provided financial and strategic advice to corporate clients in the technology, media and telecommunications sector.

In March 2014, Andrew was appointed Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of Just Eat plc and is also a Chairman of the Audit Committee and member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committees. He is a Trustee of Riverside Studios in West London, a registered charity. Andrew studied his undergraduate law degree at Nottingham and is a qualified chartered accountant.

Held at the GlaxoSmithKline Building for Sustainable Chemistry, the event is free to attend and is open to University alumni, students and staff as well as visitors from business and industry.
