Associate Professor in Legal Research, Reasoning and Writing, Faculty of Social Sciences
Ezra Hasson read law at Cardiff Law School. She qualified as a solicitor in 1993, and subsequently went into practice with a leading national firm. In 1995 she returned to university in order to study Social Policy and Administration at the University of Nottingham. Ezra was originally appointed to the post of lecturer in 2001, in conjunction with the Institute of Genetics, Biorisks and Society. In 2002 she obtained her PhD. Her socio-legal thesis explored the regulation of divorce and relationship breakdown. In 2004 Ezra was appointed to the post of City Solicitors' Educational Trust Lecturer in Legal Research, Reasoning and Writing. Her teaching interests include family law, child law, legal research methods and legal method.
Research interests are in the fields of Family Law, Child Law and the History of Mental Health Law.
