Description

Data Fest 2023: Accessing secure research data: SafePod Network and UKDS SecureLab

Data Fest 2023, hosted by the Researcher Academy in collaboration with the UK Data Service, is a programme of activity which will give you the chance to boost your data skills, knowledge and networks; whether you are just getting started or are interested in broadening your existing capabilities.

SafePod Network and UKDS SecureLab

Access to secure datasets is possible under controlled conditions. The Safe Pod Network and UK Data Service provide opportunities for eligible researchers to analyse secure data.

This session will outline the options available to you to access secure datasets from data centres within the Safe Pod Network. The second part of the session will introduce you to the UK Data Service Secure Lab, demonstrate what types of data can be accessed through the service and how to apply.

This course is open to staff or research PhD students who are interested in working with controlled data sets from Data Services such as the Uk Data Service - Secure Lab or the ONS Secure Research Service.
