Current Research

I am a Research Fellow applying advanced genetic tools, to better understand the function and genetic regulation of clostridial toxins. These toxins are not only the effectors of serious human and animal diseases, but also possess beneficial properties that can be effectively harnessed for pharmaceutical purposes. I am also involved in research towards the development of novel therapeutics towards clostridial infections. I have extensive knowledge and expertise in the molecular microbiology of bacterial pathogens.
