Orbifold invariants, field theories and quantum groups
We give a quick introduction to factorization homology, a procedure for constructing invariants of manifolds and (higher) algebras. The motivation behind factorization homology lies in field theory, and in fact these invariants can be used to define a fully extended TQFT. We will explain how to extend factorization homology to define invariants of manifolds equipped with finite group actions. As an application, we use quantum groups to construct invariants of surfaces equipped with involutions.
