Seminar: Signed Selmer groups via p-adic Hodge theory

Abstract:

I will explain how to redefine Kobayashi's plus and minus Selmer groups for supersingular elliptic curves over the p-cyclotomic extension of Q using p-adic Hodge theory. This approach allows us to generalise Kobayashi's reformulation of Kato's main conjecture to modular forms. I will also explain how this may lead to a definition of plus and minus Selmer groups over more general extensions of Q.
