Biography

I am a lecturer in the School of Mathematical Sciences. I work in the Statistics and Applied Probability research group. I am also actively involved in teaching development in the school and university, I am the school's Digital Teaching and Learning Champion with particular expertise in technology-enhanced learning.

I also engage with the media, primarily on topics in probability, in my role as a Royal Statistical Society Statistical Ambassador.

I currently teach on two of the third year modules in the undergraduate programme. Optimization (G13OPT) and Mathematical Finance (G13MAF), as well as the MSc version of Mathematical Finance. I have also taught second-year Markov Chains, and Mathematics for Engineering Management.

I have a strong interest in good teaching practices, run departmental good-practice sharing seminars, and am particularly interested in promoting student learning.
