REF Results 2021 The Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 places our School in the top 3 for quality of research environment across all Mathematical Sciences units in the UK. 98% of our research is classed as ‘world-leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’.
Our research activities are organised around sixteen Research Themes, spanning Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Physics, Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Probability, and Teaching and Learning in Mathematics Higher Education. Applications for research degrees and fellowships are welcome in all of our Research Themes.
