Public Health and Epidemiology

We are researchers working at the interface of clinical practice and public health, in disciplines including:

  • epidemiology
  • statistics
  • economics
  • qualitative methods
  • clinical science
  • health policy

Our aim is to deliver research that improves health and wellbeing. This is by:

  • recruiting, developing and empowering gifted researchers working across the spectrum of public health
  • generating research which leads to positive changes in policy and practice across a range of clinical and research priority areas

We teach public health and epidemiology in undergraduate medicine and deliver postgraduate taught courses. We're proud to also have a thriving PhD programme.

In addition, we deliver a range of short courses in:

  • epidemiology and statistics
  • generating academic public health and epidemiology capacity for the future
