Biography

Dr Jo Morling studied Medicine at the University of Edinburgh. She then worked in and around Edinburgh in General Medicine and then Public Health. She completed a Master's in Public Health Research at the University of Edinburgh, before completing her PhD in Epidemiology there also.

Following completion of specialist clinical training as a Clinical Lecturer in Public Health at the University of Nottingham she has recently been awarded a prestigious MRC Clinician Scientist Fellowship to advance her working in the field of population screening, diagnostics and health economics. She is an Honorary Consultant in Public Health Medicine with Nottingham University Hospitals Trust and with Public Health England.

Dr Morling's main area of research is the epidemiology of chronic liver disease, bowel cancer screening and associated health services research.
