Research Fellow-Postdoc, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences

I completed my PhD studies about "Molecular regulation of skeletal muscle metabolism by testosterone and exercise in younger and older age" at Medical School, University of Nottingham in 2019. Since then, I have been working within the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) on the effect of inactivity, diet restriction and mitochondrial supplementation on musculoskeletal health/metabolism in Caenorhabditis elegans nematode. At the same time, I have been collaborating and leading successful projects from UK research councils sources at Clinical, Metabolic and Molecular Physiology laboratory. I have received prestigious Vice Chancellor Scholarship, Young Investigator Award (YIA), Associate Fellow Higher Education Award (AFHEA) and I Have been invited to speak at 19th World Congress of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology. Alongside my research interests I also contribute to both undergraduate (BSc MPT course at the UoN) and postgraduate teaching; and I am reviewing manuscripts for a variety of clinical and physiology journals (e.g. Journal of Physiology-Endocrinology and Metabolism, Nutrition Research and Scandinavian Journal of Medicine and Science in Sports (SJMSS)). I am also serving on Editorial Board for Journal of Frontiers in Physiology.

P.S. Beside my daily academic activities, I am a Football Coach and my team is playing in Nottingham Youth (FA) League.
