NIHR Doctoral Fellow,
I am a PhD student conducting a study into the important outcomes following fractures sustained by children.
My undergraduate training was completed at the University of Wales College of Medicine. I completed an intercalated BSc in Medical Physics at University College London where I also learnt to play canoe polo. Between my third and fourth year I was invited to contribute to an undergraduate research opportunity at MIT where I was involved in building a satellite to test the effects of space travel on bone and muscle strength.
Following graduation, I was a Foundation Doctor in South Wales and gained experience in orthopedics in Haverfordwest and Bridgend. My core surgical training was in Gloucestershire and prior to starting this PhD I was a NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow here in Nottingham.
