What we do

Overview by Professor Joe Kai, Head of Division:

We do internationally leading research to improve the health and primary health care of individuals and communities. We welcome and train postgraduates to be the best researchers of tomorrow, and have expertise in randomised controlled trials, observational studies, epidemiology, economics and qualitative methods.

We teach across all years of the undergraduate BMBS course. We lead training of medical students in clinical and professional development, chronic illness in the community, clinical skills, and their placements with over 200 general practices.
