Dr Luis Vaz studied for a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences at Brunel University London, before going on to study for a MSc in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and a PhD in Primary Care at the University of Nottingham. Dr Vaz is currently a Research Fellow in the Division of Primary Care at the University of Nottingham.
Epidemiology and public health, smoking cessation, pregnancy, health economics, advanced statistical methods (including multi-level modelling, structural equation modelling, markov chain monte carlo simulations) big data analyses (including clinical trials, routinely collected data, large clinical databases).
