Dr Laura Condon's PhD research focused on the sensory pathways of human movement following acquired brain injury, particularly Stroke.
She has a particular interest in psychological support mechanisms and their impact upon rehabilitation and self-management of long-term conditions and is currently undertaking postdoctoral research in stroke rehabilitation on an NIHR-funded feasibility trial delivering psychological support to family members of stroke survivors across the East Midlands.
Her other research interests include health behaviour change and promotion of healthy behaviour and she has previously worked as Research Fellow on the EU-funded PEGASO project; an academic-industrial European research collaboration to develop smartphone technologies (mHealth) for the promotion of health behaviour change in adolescents.
