The award is given competitively after nomination, and is open to all educators in all schools across the university.

Nomination in the University of Nottingham Staff Oscars (Feb 2017) - Nominated by the student body in the category 'Teaching - Best All Rounder'.

Postgraduate Teaching Award, University of Nottingham (Apr 2016) - Winner of university wide teaching award given to recognise and celebrate examples of innovative teaching and support of learning. It is open to all postgraduates from all school.

Undergraduate Medical Education - HEEM Funding Stream £18,975 (Mar 2017) - Successful in joint bid with radiology for funding to purchase 30 iPads with associated hardware and software for the final year medical students studying orthopaedics at the Queen's Medical Centre.

Current Research

Outcomes in distal radius fractures - I am currently researching the effect of different modes of delivering physiotherapy advice on patients after they sustain a distal radius fracture. This is with a 3 arm RCT including leaflet, video and in person physiotherapy.

I am also calculating the MCID for three patient reported outcome measures (DASH, PEM and PRWE) using an anchor based approach.
