Dr Rebecca Fisher invited to advise on the National Stroke Programme

 

Rebecca Fisher smiling at the cameraDr Rebecca Fisher has been invited to advise on the National Stroke Programme as Rehabilitation and Life after Stroke Workstream lead. Dr Fisher will be working with the National Clinical Director for Stroke and the Clinical Policy Unit at NHS E/I to facilitate evidence based improvements in community based stroke care.

Dr Fisher and Professor Sarah Lewis have also been successful with securing THIS Institute (Health Foundation) PhD fellowship funding: The National Audit Programme: An improvement tool for community stroke care? This builds on the Division of Rehabilitation, Ageing and Wellbeing’s success with the Centre for Doctoral Training in Rehabilitation and Healthcare Research, Health Education England/NIHR Clinical Scholars Programme and the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration. It emphasises the School of Medicine’s commitment to capacity building and student experience and recognises interests and expertise in implementation and quality improvement.
