Biography

Clare is a Senior Trial Manager (STM) and has worked in clinical trial research since 2013. Clare started her career working for a clinical research organisation during which she gained experience in the development of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs) and the management of phase I and II clinical trials in healthy and patient populations.

In 2019 Clare started working at the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit and to date has managed a number of multi-centre phase III trials in a wide range of areas including oncology, obstetrics and gynecology, neonatal medicine, and viral infection (Covid-19).

Research Summary

Clare is currently the STM for the POISE, STADIA, SATURN and BLUSH clinical trials:

POISE: Hormone therapy for premature ovarian insufficiency (POI): randomised trial and long-term evaluation

STADIA: STAndardised DIagnostic Assessment for children and adolescents with emotional difficulties (STADIA): a multi-centre randomised controlled trial

SATURN: Stimulant Medication for ADHD and Tics - Understanding Response versus Non-stimulants (SATURN): a randomised trial of the clinical and cost-effectiveness of methylphenidate versus Guanfacine for ADHD in children and young people with a co-existing tic disorder

BLUSH: Oxybutynin or venlafaxine for hot flushes in women who cannot or choose not to use hormone replacement therapy: randomised trial and economic evaluation
