Biography
Since graduating in 2014, I have held both clinical trial management and (predominantly) qualitative research posts.
I have been an administrator, coordinator and trial manager in various trials; mostly trials of behavioural interventions, infectious diseases and psychiatric trials. The aspect of trial management I enjoy the most is collaborating with the Data/IT teams on database development, working on new ways to manage trials remotely and developing training material and training our collaborators on our clinical research projects.
At the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit, I manage SATURN, a trial evaluating whether stimulant or non-stimulant medication is most effective in children and young people with ADHD and tics.
As a research assistant, I have worked at the Health Experiences Research Group (HERG) in the Department of Primary Care Health Sciences and the Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford. I have enjoyed working on projects focusing on young people's mental health and experiences with primary care.
Most recently I have supported the O-ACE research team in the development of an online cultural resource aiming to support young people with anxiety and depression. As part of this project, I have been involved in interviews, data analysis and database build of a 300-participant online experimental medicine study.
I am interested in behavioural interventions, digital health, qualitative research focusing on young people's health and doctor-patient communication to name but a few.
