Current Research

Katie is a Researcher in the Biomaterials-Related Infection Group. The primary focus of her role is the development of an antimicrobial urinary catheter for long-term use to prevent catheter-associated urinary tract infections.

Past Research

Her previous research includes investigating novel treatment strategies for otitis media with effusion, by investigating different agents that may target biofilms. She tested the agents in combination with antibiotics against in vitro biofilm models.
