Biography

Katie is a Physiotherapist by professional background and joined the Division of Rehabilitation and Ageing in 2013 working as a clinical researcher on a programme of work around chair based exercise led by Professor Tahir Masud. Previously Katie worked as physiotherapist with older people in a community setting and as a research facilitator for the NIHR Clinical Research Network: East Midlands. In 2014 Katie was awarded a CLAHRC PhD Studentship in the Care of Older People and Stroke Survivors theme and in 2017 was awarded her PhD: Developing a chair based exercise programme for older people. Katie also holds a clinical contract with Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust and currently works as a researcher on the Falls in Care Homes trial led by Professor Pip Logan.
