Linn Bergh

PhD student, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences

I studied psychology at St. Olaf College in Minnesota USA, followed by a master's degree in Occupational Health Psychology from the Institute of Work, Health and Organisations at the University of Nottingham in the UK. Currently I am studying part time for a PhD in Occupational Health Psychology and Management. I hold a corporate position as Global Lead for Psychosocial Work Environment in a large multinational oil and gas company based in Norway. As Global Lead I am responsible for running a discipline network and ensuring that acknowledged/accepted standards, tools, technology and work methods are developed, qualified and applied across the company. Special focus has been dedicated to the promotion of health by focusing on issues relating to the design, organisation and management of work. During the past 8 years I have led the implementation of a psychosocial risk management system in the company. This work has included the development of a performance indicator for psychosocial risk and the implementation of a corporate process for handling conflicts and bullying. I am particularly interested in how to apply and incorporate international best practice and frameworks into internal performance management systems.
