Miss Parks is a graduate from the University of Nottingham and has completed her postgraduate medical training in the East Midlands to date. She is currently a General Surgery registrar in the region and commenced a PhD in August 2019. Her PhD is focused on the unique biology of primary breast cancer in older women, supervised by Professor KL Cheung, who is the lead of the whole research programme on the topic and Dr A Green. Following her PhD, Miss Parks will return to the General Surgery training programme and aspires to be a Consultant Clinical Academic breast surgeon in the future. Miss Parks is a member of the organising committee of the 6th Symposium on Primary Breast Cancer in Older Women, to be held at the University of Nottingham in March 2021 (www.nottingham.ac.uk/medicine/breastmeetings)
