The MINT Project, Midwives IN Teaching:

A study to identify measures that can be used to determine the value that midwife teachers bring to childbearing women

The University of Nottingham, in collaboration with the Universities of Glamorgan, Kingston/St Georges, Plymouth and Robert Gordon, have been awarded an important research project, funded by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, that could have an impact on the future of midwifery education. 


Announcements

  • The MINT project was launched at the NMC on 19th July 2011. The report is now available to read on the NMC website. See also press release on the University of Nottingham website.

  • The final report was submitted to the NMC in November 2010 and has been approved.  A launch date to put the report in the public domain is anticipated to be summer 2011.

  • A paper summarising some of the findings will be presented at the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) conference in Durban on Tuesday 22nd June 2011.
