Title: Using next generation systematic review methodology to answer high priority clinical questions
Presenter: Lene Seidler - Research Fellow, University of Sydney
Presentation synopsis: Anna Lene Seidler is a Research Fellow with the Systematic Reviews Team at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre, University of Sydney, and is a member of the Cochrane Prospective Meta-Analysis Methods Group. Her research has won several scholarships and awards, including the Australasian Epidemiological Association Early Career Researcher Award. She has previously worked and studied at the University of Edinburgh, Humboldt University, Berlin and the German Centre for Gerontology.
Lene will talk about new developments in the fields of systematic review methodology (including individual participant data meta-analysis, prospective meta-analysis and network meta-analysis), collaborative clinical trial design, and data sharing. She will be drawing on examples from neonatology and public health to illustrate how a collaborative prioritisation of research questions for clinical trials can help us answer important clinical questions faster and more reliably.
